Joanna Haberko – professor of law, works in the Department of Civil, Commercial and Insurance Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań; lectures in postgraduate medical law studies at the Jagiellonian University, the University of Wrocław and the University of Białystok; 2012-2020, 2024-present: Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University; 2016-2024: Head of Doctoral Studies at the Faculty of Law and Administration at Adam Mickiewicz University; author of over 150 publications on civil, family and medical law;
She has participated in numerous scientific conferences in Poland and abroad, where she has given over 100 lectures. She has received multiple scholarships from the Italian government and has completed research internships at the Law Faculties of the University of Macerata (2001) and Ferrara (2004), at the Institute of Bioethics of the University A. Gemelli University in Rome (2007 and 2008), and the Faculty of Law at the Mediteranea University in Reggio Calabria (2019); the author’s main research interests are family and guardianship law and medical law;
She participated in the work of the National Transplant Council at the Ministry of Health (2010-2014) and the advisory team for the protection of human rights in the context of the development of biological and medical sciences at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2016-2020);
Member of the Bioethics Committee at the Wielkopolska Medical Chamber in Poznań (2012-2023), currently a member of the Supreme Bioethics Committee.
