She holds a Master’s degree in Art History (Jagiellonian University, Kraków) and a PhD in History (University of Tübingen). She has worked on projects at the Centre for the History and Culture of Central and Eastern Europe (GWZO, Leipzig,
1997–2002), the Simon Dubnow Institute (Leipzig, 2002, 2005–2007, 2008–2009) and at the Institute for the History of Eastern Europe (MLU Halle/Saale 2008, 2010). Since 2014, she has been a fellow of the Gerda Henkel Foundation at the Aleksander Brückner Centre for Polish Studies.
