Katarzyna Kosakowska

The Good State Foundation, Poznań

Katarzyna Kosakowska is a Vice President and co-director of strategic initiatives at the Fundacja Dobre Państwo (Good State Foundation, dobrepanstwo.org), a Polish smart tank dedicated to the analysis of democracy, human rights, and the rule of law. A legal scholar by training, with a particular focus on legal theory and the philosophy of normativity, she brings an interdisciplinary perspective to her work at the intersection of law, ethics, and public policy. Her independent research interests centre on Jewish intellectual history — specifically on the normative dimensions of liberal Jewish thought, including the relationship between ethical obligation and human freedom in the work of Leo Baeck. Beyond her analytical work, she has extensive experience in civic advocacy and social organising in Poland, which grounds her scholarly engagement in the lived reality of rights, agency, and the ethical imperative to act.
