He acts as the chairman of the doctoral board of Philosophy of Education. He heads the Department of Civic Education and Philosophy.  In addition to his scientific and pedagogical work, he also engages in popularization of philosophy. He co-organized several major international conferences with the participation of Alain Badiou, Jacques Rancière, Étienne Balibar, and other leading thinkers.

His research fields are Critical Theory, Marxism, Postmodernism, and the contemporary French philosophy, especially the work of Alain Badiou. He seeks to relate philosophy to the challenges of the contemporary world. He has been elaborating a coherent theory of the society, politics, art, economy, and religion in times of interregnum. Hauser proposes ontological, political and ethical concepts in relation to the vision of a new social movement that will confront the oligarchic power, class inequalities, the climate crisis, AI and other threats of today.
