Prof. Rafał Witkowski, PhD, Vice-Rector for International Cooperation at Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. A historian, specialising in Church history, among other fields, and co-founder of the Liberal Arts and Sciences programme at the Faculty of History, Adam Mickiewicz University. From 2011 to 2020, he served as Director of the University Centre for International Education (AMU-PIE), whose aim is to develop a range of courses taught in foreign languages. He has been instrumental in bringing AMU into the EPICUR consortium of universities. He is developing cooperation with universities in almost every corner of the world. Open to new forms of international cooperation, he promotes, among other things, the idea of microcredentials. A polyglot (he speaks English, Lithuanian, Italian, Russian and German), fascinated by multilingualism in a historical context.
